Every Shirt Has a Story
And we love helping you tell it.
A shirt can represent your business, your team, a special event, a cause you care about, a favorite photograph, a family tradition — or simply an idea that made you smile.
Over the years, we’ve helped turn all kinds of stories into shirts. Here are a few of them.
More Than a Picture of a Horse
For the campers at Path of Life Camp, the horses are part of the experience and part of the memories they take home with them. Each year, those memories become something they can wear long after camp is over.
What started as an order of around 100 shirts has grown over the years to roughly 300 shirts annually — and every one of them represents someone’s time at camp.
That’s what we mean when we say every shirt has a story.

He Even Added the Trademark
Six-year-old Jerry came into NuWaka with a very specific plan for his dad’s Father’s Day shirt. He wanted a few of his favorite movie and cartoon characters battling it out on the shirt.
There was just one problem. We explained to Jerry that we couldn’t use those characters because they were copyrighted and trademarked. Naturally, he had a few questions. After we explained that those characters belonged to the people and companies that created them, Jerry reluctantly accepted the answer.
So he came up with Plan B.
He drew the picture himself.
And apparently Jerry had been paying very close attention to our conversation—because when he finished his masterpiece, he had added one very important detail in the upper-right corner:
His own “TM.”
We couldn’t stop laughing.
Sometimes the best shirt isn’t the one you originally planned. It’s the one with a story you’ll still be telling years later.
That’s what we mean when we say every shirt has a story.

Help These Lost Shirts Find Their Way Home!
These Maine-Endwell hoodies started out with a pretty simple story. We created an Online Store so customers could order apparel and show their support for Maine-Endwell.
The orders came in. We printed the hoodies. They were ready to go.
And then…they never went home.
These poor hoodies have been hanging out at NuWaka for more than a year, patiently waiting for someone to come pick them up.
So if one of these looks familiar, we have good news:
Your long-lost hoodie is safe and sound — and it would really like to go home with you. 😂
Sometimes a shirt’s story doesn’t end when we print it. Apparently, sometimes it just moves into NuWaka.
Every Shirt Has a Story. These two are still waiting for their ending.

Ready When the Camera Was
When The Paddle House, a new paddle ball business in the Binghamton area, was getting ready to spread the word about their new venture, they got an opportunity every new business hopes for — a local television news interview.
There was just one problem.
They needed shirts. And they needed them quickly.
They came to NuWaka, and we printed three Nike Dri-FIT polos with The Paddle House logo on the front so they would have a professional, coordinated look for their interview.
They looked great, the interview went well, and The Paddle House got a chance to introduce their new business to the community.
Sometimes a shirt remembers a summer at camp. Sometimes it becomes a Father’s Day story you’ll laugh about for years. And sometimes, it’s what you’re wearing when you introduce your new business to the world.
Every Shirt Has a Story. This one was just getting started.
